Elektra first appeared in Daredevil issue #168. She was the creation of Frank Miller and was one of his best loved creations.
Elektra is an assassin for hire and has no super powers at all. She relies on her skills as a martial artist to bring down her mark.
She trained in martial arts from the age of nine after being rescued from kidnappers by her elder brother. He himself was an accomplished martial artist and it was he who suggested that she learn self defence,
introducing her to fighting.
Elektra has been known to use an array of weaponry involving hand to hand combat but her trade mark choice would be twin Sais (long double bladed knives).
Elektra was once in a relationship with Daredevil, but her nature as a mercenary drove them apart.
Elektra was later killed by Bulls-eye in a battle to become the King Pins assassin. However
attempts to resurrect her lead to her inner evil being separated from her, her evil half named
herself Erynys, who was later killed by Elektra .
Although Elektra works as an assassin, she often fights for good. Despite this she is
known to have taken a crack at such heroes as Spiderman and Wolverine.
