The Fantastic Four debuted in November 1961 in the Fantastic Four#1.
They were created by the partnership of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
The members of the four are: Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and The Thing.
A low budget film of The FF was made in 1994 but never released.
The children of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman regularly feature in the comics.
The Fantastic Four was created following the success of DC's Justice League of America.
Doctor Doom and The Silver Surfer amongst others first appeared in the FF comic.
The four aquired their powers after exposure to "Cosmic Rays".
The Invisible woman and Human Torch are brother and sister.
There have been a number of temporary replacement members over the years, including She-Hulk
Ms.Marvel, Medusa and Crystal.
