New police evidence indicates that the Sandman is responsible for uncle Bens death and so Spiderman goes after him with a vengeance. A meteorite lands close to Peter Parker bringing to Earth a symbiotic alien which takes on the form of Spidermans suit, giving him new powers but altering his character for the worse. He eventually rejects it and it finds a new host, Eddie Brock turning him into Venom. The Green Goblin also makes a return in the form of Harry Osborn, who is out to avenge the death of his father.
