  • Thor firts appeared in "Journey Into Mystery #83".
  • He was the creation of Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Larry Lieber.
  • His character is based on the Norse God of the same name..
  • "Journey Into Mystery was renamed" "The Mighty Thor" with issue #126 in March 1966
  • Thor is the son of Odin.
  • Thor is taught humility by his father by being placed into the body of a young surgeon, Donald Blake, for a number of years, without any recollection of his former life. He gradually rediscovers his past and learns to change into the Thunder God at will.
